I much prefer hunting out of hard-sided blinds for hard-core hunts but i really do like mine so far. it’s easy to shoot in, easy to transport, and easy to take off. i wanted one because that way i can either lay the blind over or take it off and fish all winter with it.. If you're gonna put a hard side blind on a 14 foot boat there are some things you may want to consider. obviously safety first. not knowing how wide or deep your boat is really depends on how tall and heavy you make it..
The extreme hard blind is custom-fit to any boat and motor set-up. our basic extreme blind includes your choice of nose/front door and traditional high/low sides, plus gunnel seal, bow storage, running lights, and vhb quiet panel skinning.. I decided to put a blind on my 14' jon boat. i built a scissor style frame with a top. i used fast grass for the out side. when it is all done it looks very good and folds down so i can get my. For me a hard side blind is the only way to go. i hunt puddlers in timber, flooded areas and open water for divers. i leave brush on all season since i will be tied up next to brush, shore or trees anywhere i hunt. but i still have no problem hunting a soft side as long as it is a boat blind, im not a fan of pop-ups..
